Description:

Argentine Tango is an urban dance based on connection. Learn the tango connection and gain the tools you need to succeed and feel great in our tango classes and the social dances (milongas) around the city.

This is a four week program, focusing on a different concept each week. Classes are 1 hour 15 minutes long.

Level 1 Program:

The 5 connections (with yourself, the music, the space, your dance partner, and everything else), posture and balance, the basics of leading and following, improvising basic moves, basic understanding of the music, and dance floor navigation strategies.

• No partner necessary but encouraged to ensure leaders and followers are equally balanced.
• Everyone leads and everyone follows. Gender is not attached to the dance role.
• Bring comfortable clothes and shoes. Not sure about shoes, bring socks
