This month: “Milonga”
One course for Beginners and another one for Intermediate and advanced

Overview:
Milonga is one of the three rhythms (Tango, Milonga, Vals) to dance at the Tango social gathering. Milonga is known as the “quick step of tango”, very rhythmical, fast and fun where the couple move synchronized
What you will learn:
Different dance moves that you can use on different rhythm possibilities. How to train your body to be efficient and effective. How to synchronize with your partner. Fun combinations
- For beginners: The basics, music, basic rhythms and patterns, leading and following basics, couple synchronization, The A, B, C patterns
- For Intermediate and Advanced: Complex combinations, speed, precision, “corridas”
Technique:
This seminar will have an emphasis on learning the following techniques:
- Body awareness, control and mechanics applied to Milonga rhythm
- How to connect with your partner
- Understanding of the music
- Fine-tuning your spacial awareness and spacial orientation in reference to your partner
Seem like a lot? Don’t worry. We’ll cover this in depth in this intensive 6-week (9 hours in total) seminar. We’ll explore the mechanics and techniques of how to use the axis in different moves and how to adapt it to the social dance floor.
Partnering:
If you have a partner, we encourage you to sign up as a couple and rotating partners in class is completely optional.
If you don’t have a partner, you can sign up as an individual and rotate with other individuals. Please let us know in advance of your role (Follower or Leader). We will try our best to keep Follower/ Leader balance in the class.
