Learn Argentine Tango Dance System

Our system is the basis for everything we teach. It is a simple method of dancing pure and authentic Argentine Tango in a natural way, using technique according to each body type and age.

Tango was developed by social dancers, reaching its best level in the 1940’s and 1950’s at the same time that the music did. There were no other dance influences then, except examples from real life from those times placed into tango with a lot of creativity.

Traditional tango was a dance with plenty of playfulness and happiness. It brought up skilled dancers from all ages and body types without losing elegance. We want to bring back again the dance that conquered the world in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Sergio Segura, has created a very easy and effective approach to understand and dance tango, based on other teaching methods including salsa, hustle, swing, flamenco, ballet, modern dance and jazz, and also sport disciplines such as Volleyball, swimming, pole dancing among others.

COMPONENTS AND STRUCTURE OF THE SYSTEM

Tango is a multidimensional system, with many layers of information and it has a strong and precise structure that needs to be very well respected. For your better understanding, we have divided the dance into these important components which the student should study and explore to have an efficient and elegant dance.

  • The walking systems
  • The Tango Fundamentals
  • Elements and components of the dance
  • Body conditioning for tango
  • Basic common figures used all over the world
  • Musicality, Change of dynamics and speed
  • The emotional dimension
  • Culture, etiquette and history of Tango

By understanding the structure of tango, you will have the chance to express your feelings in their highest level.

Levels

At our school we work with one basic level, where you will learn the basics and fundamentals. The most common tango figures, used at all dance places (milongas), will be taught.

After this level, you will be integrated in the big group, where you will continue learning more elements, figures and rhythms (Tango, Milonga and Vals) and continue developing your skills. Our goal is that you will be intermediately integrated in the group and pwith students who have more dance experience. You will be part of our community to make new friends and establish a dance network.
